Just before my first girlfriend broke up with me on my 18th birthday.. over the phone… by voice-mail... she did me a favour. She took me shopping at her favourite Jeans Store. She took me to Jean Machine. She bought a pair of Guess jeans (she looked hot), I bought a pair of Silvers (because she said I looked hot).
After 15 years, those Silvers were still in my closet and they’d still be there, if my wife hadn’t read this…
My best friend loves that story. And since he’s the Marketing Director at Jean Machine, he asked me to put the story on his site… And since I still shop at Jean Machine and I still have (almost) every pair of Jeans I’ve bought there, I said sure.
Now, this isn’t a propaganda “About Us” article.
This is different - as different as Jean Machine is.
This is a true story about Jean Machine and her owners (The Perlmans). You haven’t heard of the Perlmans? They're practically the 1st Family of Denim in Canada.
But to be fair to you, they don’t seek out the lime light… They don’t work in flashy offices or hit the glitz fashion shows… They are dealers of fashion. Dealers of denim in fact…
Guess, Mavi, Silver, Parasuco and now brands like Bench, Jack & Jones and YDE all make a home in the Jean Machine stores as much as in the hearts and closets of Jean Machine customers. |
